DESCRIPTION

The port of Tropea is made up of an outer breakwater of 500 m in the direction of NE and a breakwater dam of 210 m to the north. On the inner side of the breakwater there are 3 piers, while the jetty were installed six floating pontoons. At the dock, there is a stretch of quay intended for transit passengers vessels and emergencies.

Access time: continuous

Access: contact management port on VHF channel 09, so be careful to ships passengers, especially near the floating docks located on the breakwater breakwater.

Lighthouses and lights: 2700 (E 1760) - Beacon steady green light, 2 vert., Range 4 M, the head of the breakwater, fixed red light beacon on the breakwater.

Sea bed: sand. Depth: 2.5 m from the quay to m 4/5.

Radio: VHF Channel 09. Berths: 650. Maximum length: 50 m.

Certification: inside the port is prohibited busting anchors (except in cases of bad weather), maximum speed of 3 knots.

Winds: north-east and winds from the west between SW (in summer) and NW (in winter).

Wind: NE Shelter: S-SE Nearest safe harbour: Port of Vibo Marina to 11.8 M and Gioia Tauro.
